Only on my second one now (which is good for me), and i have thrown them around sooooo much!

i had that phone for like 2 years with no problems! only reason i got rid of it was because my upgraded my contract :001_smile: the phone is still being used by my mate and hasnt had any problems:thumbup:

Nokias and Sony Ericssons are definitely well built in my experience and worth considering. I would steer clear of Samsungs and Motorolas.

I have just ordered a black berry curve but have also added an otterbox to the order. They are a very robust case and are dust and water resistant.

:thumbup: I dropped my BB Curve about 40feet onto a wall in its Otterbox, no damage to the phone at all, I think the Otterbox was about 27quid off ebay

I've had mine for nearly 4 years and have never had any problems with it. Although the speaker is beginning to fade now so it's becoming increasingly difficult to hear anyone when your in a noisy environment. I would replace it with the same one but I'm looking for a phone with a better camera.

JCB Tough Phone

Posted (edited)

Ive currently got a Samsung Solid Extreme, cost me £100 unlocked. All the usual phone stuff, ive dropped it from various heights on purpose and thrown it in water, best phone to date for me. :thumbup:

"The casing is IP57 certified, which means it can withstand dust and water. It will cope with being immersed in a metre of water for 30 minutes, apparently. Oh, and it is compliant with Military Standard 810F too, which means it can survive salt fog, extreme heat and cold, and blowing rain"

So it seems there's 2 main choices;

  1. super tough but basic phone, or
  2. a mobile office with a phone on it (that you have to keep in a box!).

Do those of you who have email and internet on your phone find that you use them very much? Has owning a blackberry changed the way you've been able to manage your work?
