Chainsaw wont start

Hi all,

My Stihl ms 230 wont start at all. The other day it would start then cut out so i adjusted the carb accordingly, i went to test it today to check it worked and too my surprise it wont start.

Have you reset the carb to factory setting? Usually printed next to the holes on stihls

I have for the H and the idle speed but there are no markings next to the l screw!

on my 230

h=3/4

L=1

but ive found most will start h& L both on 1 turn

Turn the L screw one turn out from fully in if no limit caps are fitted. If limit caps are fitted, just turn the cap anti clockwise fully.

 

If that doesn't work, see if the plug is wet, see if you have spark, see if you have compression.....simple:thumbup:

It means you are getting fuel in but its not combusting for whatever reason .
