beech have always been my favourite tree of all time and love climbing them aswell smooth bark, so easy to cut great to climb, but i also love straight up pines or populars cause there so easy to work in part from all the sap.

£275, 1 hour, 15 foot Conifers are my favourite. Love em.

 

 

Like climbing big old london planes or English oaks though. Just enjoy the feel of history and granduer and stature and large spread to run around in.

Nice straight single stemmed conifers that you get to spike up and cut the branches of as you go then rig down the stem. I like them because you can be really systematic and work them in a very calculated way.

Lots of interesting replies, makes choosing just one very difficult for the congenitally indecisive but if pinned down it would probably have to be lime.
