What's everyone's preference and what are you using?

 

ATM I'm on a Grillon 3m I think.

 

Thinking of switching to an ART positioner.

Positioner on 3m hedera

 

Distel/pulley on 5m hedera with thimble Prussik similar to a ce lanyard but a lot cheaper

Love it. A little grabby to start but soon learned how to make it smooth.

Got the art positioner with the swivel on 5 metre new england dragonfly.As will said its very smooth.

You can get a cam for the positioner to use on wirecore flipline

personally, i had the positioner on a wire core flip line and i didn't rate it much. I found it slipped a lot if the tail of the flip line was straightened behind you for any reason. i prefer a simple grab or prussic on my wire core flipline however i have now put the positioner (switched cams) on some blue tongue which is nice.

As above I tried a diff cam and my positioner on a wire and it didn't feel good.

 

Just buy a cheap rope grab for the wire

I use a soft rope for big hard wood (3m with a postioner) and a wire core for soft woods. Love the ART postioner with swivel would highly recommend it!

Love my positioner. 4m of fluffed 11.5mm i think aeris. Still smooth as hell. Get the swivel

Love mine too. Mine has the swivel, previous one didn't. I'm not sure it's necessary to be honest. It has its negatives
