Hi all...looking for a bit of advice please. I have approx 30m3 of silver birch from a clearfell I did this winter..I think I'm going to sell it to a log man, but I have no idea how much it's worth. Had a quick google and people seem to be paying 80-100 quid per cube...is that realistic? I might have to go into log production if it is! Cheers.

I would say £30 max for processor grade delivered

Less for oversized

£30 a tonne delivered for processor sized logs ,em, I was getting £35 a tonne for larch at roadside 2 yr ago ,£30 a tonne delivered I think you better get me a couple hundred tonne please.

AND WHAT ? £30 a cube or tonne is very very cheap to hardwood delivered in we currently getting £32.50 for softwood chip roadside.!

 

What's the difference on a MTR cube & a tonne of same said birch ?
