I sent them a question re this.

 

Stupidly I sent two questions at the same time. The reply just says its a mistake on the system & they are getting it changed.

 

I have asked if that applies to both of my questions & to every other pre 97 licence I have ever checked.

 

Still waiting for that reply.

Weren't you going to check on how this right was lost?

 

It doesn't affect me but what about those Land rover 5th wheel units?

 

Had a reply.

 

Its an issue with the website.

 

They have no time scale of when it will be put right.

 

All BE prior to the 2013 change is unlimited trailer weight subject to vehicle being speced to tow that amount.

Thanks again, so it's only the most recent B+E that are restricted.to 3.5 tonnes.

Earlier Landrovers were rated to 4 tons with coupled brakes.

 

 

Yep, I guess there will be others out there too.

 

 

IE the 5th wheel modifications.

 

Or some companies can up rate the specs to allow more capacity too.
