its amazing what will work, we used to have an old twin rear wheel international truck out in australia and got it stuck on a slope, nose facing downhill. couldnt reverse out, no machinery for miles and no phone signal so we fed a cable between the dual rear wheels and anchored the other end to a tree further up the hill, engage difflock and let it wheelspin on idle to take the slack up in the line then it slowly wound itself up the hill as the cable fed up between the tyres. not saying it was ideal but hey it got us home.

how did you end up down the slope mate?:lol:were you chasing roos?:001_tongue:

 

stupidly seeing whether i could skid the timber up there with the dozer, why we took the old international i dont know................saying that i was probably hunting something, the .308 either lived in the landcruiser or the dozer!

Old Skool tricks like that ought to taught in college - it's the mindset of "I'm stuck, how can I get out?" that really matters..........................

 

Nice vid and there's nowt wrong with a Fordson.
