power shutdown

Does anyone have a contact number to arrange power shut down or trimming back from wires to enable us to remove a tree??

 

In the south gloucestershire area. I don't knwo where to look as its been a while and none of my contact numbers seem to work anymore!!!!!!!

EDF took 9 months to sort my last shutdown (Kent), and I spent more on phoning them than I earnt from the job.

 

Be interesting to see how things differ regionally.

Yep will do. I remember it beign a pain in the past. You need the MOBILE phone number of someone useful or else you get no where IMO.

if i remember rightly western power and distibution in taunton deal with bristol and south gloucs area but been a while since done any line clearing

Sorry, I should have said its southern/eastern gloucestershire not "south glos" which is an actual seprate area. But even knowing the distribution (eon, I think) doesn't really help, there website is no good at all for this issue.

I always ring the Reactive works dept on 01332 393160 if were working in worcestershire, I'm not sure if they cover Gloucestershire

Do a bit of digging found out which local tree firms are doing utilitiy cutting have a word with them they will have more clout with the power company than you, might even cut it back from the lines for you so that your team can do the rest at your leisure.
