we've got the carlton 4012 at work and as long as its got a full set of sharp teeth on it is a real good grinder, the only problem is the plug for the remote control is really flimsy and it always get knocked out and has to be repaired regularly, but if it was owner operated i guess a lot more care would be taken and this would not be a problem

How much can you build me one for dean? I worked out the price of getting a mate to put one together and it wasn't far off the price they asked for them, plus I wouldn't be able to staff it as it has no CE marking.

R

The one I have is a snapper breaking it down into materials

Honda 5hp engine new £253

Clutch £40

Idler pulley £10

Belt £5

Throttle control and cable £15

Axle and wheels £80

Two self alinging bearings £40

Pulley £12

Sheet metal, tube and shaft £120

Cutter head ??

Mini disc brake ?

I reckon materials to a manufacturer will be well under a grand

So £2500 labour charges ?
