Hi all, I've recently been asked to quote for yearly ongoing maintenance at a large nursing home.

Works will be all the hedge cutting, grass cutting, keeping flower beds tidy etc

I've never priced a yearly/ongoing job like this before so if there's any one who does this a lot who could give me any advice and tips and what to look out for it would be very much appreciated!!

Cheers

Have a good walk around the place and I mean a leisurely walk and look for crap that you will be lumbered with to take off job , ask if they are having flowers etc in them beds . Price it up on a single visit then work from those figures for the whole year .

I tend not to take the piss on jobs like has they are a good number if you keep hold of them has the pennies drop in nicely towards Christmas for me .

As said above take a good look around, determine what your likely to be doing, how often and how many staff it will take to do so.Factor all your costs,

equipment, fuel, wages, tip site etc. This will give you a rough guideline as to what the job will cost you too do.

Add a profit margin and that should be your final price

18k a year? Based on a fortnightly rotation, 26 visits per year) that's nearly £700 a visit! How big is this site? We do nursing homes, with some large plots but they float around the £195 mark.
