any big bar you gotta give a bit of slack

 

yeh, mine was just a bit too slack, you'll know whether you've got it right after a while if you get the wear on the bar underneath just behind the nose sprocket from being too slack

but i have also found that it is impossible to tention the chain past a certain point and the chain is not at the right tention, there is a lot of chain creep and you cant tighten the chain any more. i have changed the tentioning bolt as the shop threaded it but its still not quite right.:icon13:

Mine is just very difficult to turn to get the chain tight enough. It doesnt run out of thread though, so, as steve says, it could be worth checking your chain length.

yep. 36'' which is 114 links

thats what i have. its really stiff when i try to tention the chain with the bar on, but it works fine without a bar.

i have the same problem , it is very difficult to turn and doesnt run out of thread , but it will only turn about half the ammount its supposed to.
