Who they?!

I have noticed it has become trendy to call Hardwood "Cordwood" ! , 1 Cord of green beach is around 2200 kg or 3.62 M3 .

So a 3M green Beach log would be around 1.1 m dia in the center to give 90 cubic feet of wood in the round which is about a stacked Cord 128 cubic feet ,

cordwood (ˈkɔːdˌwʊd)

n

(Forestry) wood that has been cut into lengths of four feet so that it can be stacked in cords

From Collins English Dictionary – Complete and Unabridged, 12th Edition 2014

I was taught that a cord of wood is 128 cubic feet, arrived at by inserting four posts in the ground in a 4' square pattern, 4' high. Timber is cut to 8' long and stacked between the posts until level with the top of the posts, thus a nominal 'cord' of wood. A usual measurement for coppice wood.

Whats going on here ?.

Bloke ( or lady ?) posts a fairly normal request perhaps phrased not as most are and seems to be getting some (but not all) smart arsed replies. Thats not what this board is about in my book.

Have I missed something here or what ?.
