Carpeting a van roof. How!?!? Help!!!

You need to use 'light' headlining carpet designed specifically to avoid the top heavy effects of normal carpet. It's also stretchy so is able to follow the contours of the van. It will still probably need to be plylined first.

I used sticky back rubber from a sound installer to damp the panels but previously had used sticky backed flashing to same effect.

We spend a fair amount of time each year renewing the headlining on some of our boats. The accepted standard for this is Evo-stick 528 contact adhesive. If it can take the temperature and humidity ranges of a boat then a van should be OK too I'd have thought. Added bonus is that you get a free 'fix' also!!

Will evo stick stick a carpet to the metal roof of a van though?
