Ive got a 13mmmarlow rope with a sewn eye that wont fit frew cambium saver is it worth getting it spliced so its a little bit more low profile to fit frew cambuim saver or buy new rope its only 12 months old. 🤓

 

This is the rope below ive got

Unlike other makes of 16 strand rope the Marlow rope has a braided core rather than a loose core and an extremely tight cover, it's a difficult rope to hand splice, I've only done one it's not nice.

Ill have to wait untill after xmas and buy a 11.5 mm with spilced eye i think. All this is all new to me never really done loads of climbing now ive started doing lots im learning more and needing more bits of kit to make the job a lil more easier and leas strain on the body

Whats it worth ? Whos gonna buy second hand rope when not noing whats happend to it ect

 

You could get it loler'd and punt it on arbtrader or a similar site,as joe said though,its not a great rope so wouldnt make you a great deal of money.Why not keep it as a second back up rope or as part of your rescue kit(if you have one)even use it for 2 in 1 lanyard for connie bashin,make lanyards out of it,pull rope,light riggin rope etc
