What is the rules for DPF removal? It is a fine for not having one when you should or are you likely to have a lot of grief. I presume it is not an MOT issue unless it fails emissions.

They are available over here. And nearer the £30k mark which isn't expensive when you compare with the eq LR. It'll be cheaper to maintain and last forever too so it's a long term investment. That's RHD aswell. Was a co on here backalong advertising - not overlander.

One day...

Was here: dunno who the co was: http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/trading-place/88406-landcruiser-pick-up.html

would they though? Generally the countries that they are popular in are dry hot countries, what to say it won't rust as quick as a Landy or any other truck- and rust is the killer of vehicle longevity IMO...

30k isn't too bad, I assume that's plus VAT. But my head says 30k buys a lot of unimog too which can do far more that any pickup. I only generally travel 15 miles each way a day max. So speed and comfort isn't ultra important. Just don't want a vehicle that's being beasted to its limits most days.

Not any more.

Most cars will come to the end of their life when the main electronics fail & there are no cost effective ways of fixing it.

Is 3.5t towing and new essential? From what you are saying - just for work, dont do many miles - could you get away with spending £6k on a five year L200 single cab? Should give you 5 years decent service and use the extra cash towards a mog for example.

Just a random example - http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201610289216956?atmobcid=soc3
