Hi all i had a look and cant see anything in the search section.

 

I am toying with getting some security storage cabinets to hold saws etc.

 

I remember a few years ago at the Saltex show a firm that had these cabinets that looked the dogs ( as did the price tag!).

 

But dont know who they are.

Anyone point me in the right direction.

Try Mark at Lincmaster 01522 529444, might be who you saw at Saltex, but they do decent tool stores and other security gear. No connection with them, just had good kit and service over the last couple of years.

Why not make your own safe? 3mm mild steel sheet is not expensive, bit of angle for the edges, drill and bolt or weld if you can. Could be a fun project for the holiday season to escape from the bedlam. Or buy an old riveted steel plate fuel tank like they used to have on farms - cut a door, hangers inside for gear - and it just looks like an old tank - hidden in plain view.

i like your thinking.

my problem is dont have welding experience or kit, dont have time and from minor experience trying to get hold of any sheet metal seems to cost a fortune!

in my head i think yes i should have a go, in practice it never happens.

 

Ive killed many an hour on pintrest looking at great things and thinking one day when i have the time...

never started/finished 1 thing to date!

I have one of the knackk boxes from lincmaster as mentioned above. I spent a while researching before I bought. The price tag was higher than the others but I believe they still offered the best value for money
