LPG Forklift vapourizer

My local forklift dealer had a load of nice Nissan trucks. I said my previous one was a ball ache in cold weather and they said most are and it's normal. Start and run on tick over for 5 minutes before reving it once warmed up they are ok. Bobs advice above is spot on.

I forgot to put the forklift inside last night, it took an hour to get it to fire up.

It really peeves me when the lads don't put the forklift inside, then it takes an hour to start it!

I would have thought that as long as water is circulating through the mixer there would be enough heat.

 

This is the correct answer. A place I used to do some part time work for had an LPG side loader which was for ever giving them hassle. All it needed was the water level kept fully topped up, even with a cold engine the coolant is still relatively warm enough to keep the vapouriser working.

With Bob's I just wonder if the water pipe is on the wrong side of the themostat

Possibly, certainly seems to be an issue with water circulation anyhow.
