I've seen nice ones go for over 2K "refurbished".

TBF. there is a ok looking one on ebay ATM. for £850 BIN. which is not too bad. However if it's for professional heavy use I would seriously look at the TERSA system, especially with hard timber like oak.

 

yeah thats one i have been looking at tbh , shame its a bit too far away for me to go and have a look at it.

Is the tersa system a straight swap for the original blades?

The older Sedgwick MB has short tables and is a pain in the arse to change the blades over. Access to the cap head bolts is very limited and the infeed table has to be screwed out till it almost falls off. I couldn't wait to get rid of mine and bought a newer one with 4 tersa blades from ebay. The difference is amazing and would never go back to normal blades again.
