Do any of you process and bag logs through the summer. We've a big pile of wood and not a lot of work.. If we spit it and bag it, as long as it's kept dryish it shouldn't be a problem should it?

 

They tend to go very mouldy unless they are bone dry Ben.

 

I have been trying to source some ventilated bags but they are £6 + vat each.

We put ours into builders bags and stack 3 high. Covered with a plastic sheet:icon14:

I liked that idea I saw on here (cant remember the thread) where there was frame made of strong wire pig netting wrapped round a pallet base to make a basket/stillage type thing. Yuo could just put them in lines with a tarp over them?

Ah they are sturdy enough to stack without collapsing as well, even better. Excellent idea, cheap and simple :icon14:

 

Do you have a pair of forks on a tractor to lift them?

Oh and do you mind me asking how much you sell a load like that for (nosy yorkshiremen, me!!) It'll be about a cube meter is it?
