hi everyone, I broke the chain brake on my husky 61. does anyone know if any old brake for a 61 model will fit on? mines the one with the metal lever and replacements all seem to be plastic.

The metal hand guard brake is the Sweda o matic brake, this was diss continued, you can now fit the later knee link brake with composit brake handle, i will probably have one about if you are intrested.

I was told the other day metal chain brake handles are not acceptable in a work environment by HSE .. I have no idea if this is correct though!!

that would be great if you do have one, thanks

 

the brake has been repaired before and the clutch cover is in a state too. I'd rather get a new one I think, or atleast one that hasn't previously broken!!
