Perhaps he's got "up north" and "down south" confused with hills.
-
By default we drift into the Quayside on an afternoon so it is all up eventually - whether you are going down or up.

My wife and I went into town and visited a shop yesterday. When we came out, there was a policeman writing a parking ticket. We went up to him and I said, "Come on man, how about giving a pensioner a break?" He just ignored us and continued writing the ticket. I called him an "a**hole." He glared at me and started writing another ticket for having worn-out tires. So my wife called him a "s*ithead." He finished the second ticket and put it on the windshield with the first. Then he started writing more tickets. This went on for about 20 minutes. The more we abused him, the more tickets he wrote. He finally finished, sneered at us and walked away. Just then our bus arrived, and we got on it and went home. We always look for cars with Vote Labour stickers. We try to have a little fun each day now that we're retired.

If you live in Byker, Heaton or Waaaaka, your going to be confused.

I'm economically inactive (I don't need to work).

🤷♂️ Would you then agree that if you walked the other direction you would be moving up, or down, the hill?
-
🤷♂️Local commonly used terms and references not detailed geographical descriptions 👍 At least it gives you something to try and latch onto or cackle about.
-
Good to see there’s a few ATL bitches cackling together already today. The mystery of the point eh 🤷♂️😂😂😂

Stick to your office job lad, staring out the window on the commute or sat bored enduring the daily grind in a risk free public sector gig that you are that embarrassed about you won’t even say what it is you do. Like I say I’ll worry about my business, this not getting the mystical point has not been too much of a hindrance in life so far.

It was a slog up westgate road 🤷♂️👍
-
Absolutely agree with Mark, both can be up or down. Starting at the big lamp and you go down Westgate Road and from the junction at the start of the HL bridge you go up generally. Same with Northumberland street just slightly less of an incline. My mate and I pushed a beezer we bought from the Durham Road in Gateshead to my mam's place on Stanton Street, its since been demolished, and we thought we were going to get grief as we passed the bike shops but fortunately didn't. It was a slog up westgate road, much like telling a narcissist he's wrong.
-
Yes. You are. As usual.

Funny you should mention the creeper. Which I planted, but " it gotta go!", since it is in through the shed everywhere.!!!!!!!!! It and the one I planted at the other end are near about to meet in the middle of the 4 bays. It seems to love the subdued light from the skylights.

STIHL has introduced a new charging management system designed to make charging multiple batteries more efficient, reliable and user-friendly. The STIHL CM 8 Charging Management System allows up to 8 chargers to be powered via a standard GB 230 V Socket. This enables twice as many chargers to run on a single fuse, providing a simple solution to maximise charging capacity and manage batteries more productively. With no electrical expertise required for set-up, the CM 8 has been designed with intelligent overload protection, ensuring safe and reliable charging without the risk of fuse tripping when used with the correct STIHL charger combination. . The innovative system can run twice the number of chargers compared to a standard socket, thanks to smart electronics developed by STIHL experts. Built with an intelligent automatic switch, the CM 8 enables two charging banks to run one after another. This means that once the system’s ‘bank one’ has fully charged all of the batteries in its connected chargers, ‘bank two’ will automatically begin its charging process. A light on the CM 8 clearly indicates which bank is active for instant visibility and peace of mind. To avoid overloading a circuit, the CM 8’s maximum power consumption of 1840 W must not be exceeded. With this, STIHL’s wide range of chargers have a label to indicate wattage, with this information also available to access on the STIHL website. The wattage combination of all chargers plugged into the CM 8 must not exceed the 1840 W maximum limit. Utilising the CM 8 with 8 x AL 301-4 multi chargers, 32 batteries can be charged overnight via one plug socket. To find out more about STIHL charging solutions, visit your nearest STIHL Approved Dealer, or www.stihl.co.uk.

Ice skating - been playing ice hockey for the last few years in Bristol. Grew up skating at Ally pally in jeans, one slip and you’d be soaking wet and freezing, taught you to get good pretty quick!

As the operations of family-run arb firm Koala Tree Care have grown, as has their relationship with GreenMech – with two efficient and easy-to-maintain woodchippers working hard on jobs across North Somerset. The most recent addition to their fleet is the turntable Eco 135TT which, running alongside a gravity-fed CS100, provides an economical and safe solution to domestic tree work. Callum Emery founded Koala Tree Care in 2019 and, with the assistance of twin brother Aaron, provide a one-stop shop for all aspects of tree, hedge and general garden maintenance to customers in and around Bristol. With client demand increasing, the business quickly outgrew its small initial chipper and needed equipment that could keep pace with their growth. Their first upgrade was to a compact, yet capable, CS100 from GreenMech. Ideal for working in tight spaces such as residential gardens, the CS100 offers the quick processing of branches and brash of up to 4”. But with workload still on the rise, the time was right to add an even bigger machine to their fleet in the form of the Eco 135TT. “Our GreenMech machines have made a massive difference to our workflow” comments Callum. “While the CS100 is still used frequently because of its ability to be wheeled through a house where no external access is available, the investment in the Eco 135TT makes light work of larger jobs. The turntable is such a useful feature – this machine is used most days and is rarely ever used in the straight position! We can alter the chipper to any angle for safe and convenient feeding, and ensure the chippings cleanly make their way into the truck.” Another thing Callum praises is the ease of maintenance. “Looking after both of these machines is incredibly simple. The Eco 135TT features their disc-blade chipping system which enables me to turn the blade three times before the need to resharpen – which I can also do myself with GreenMech’s disc blade sharpener. This means we can keep downtime to a minimum and keep our busy diary on schedule.” Processing large and heavy branches with ease, it isn’t just the performance of the ECO 135TT that has impressed the brothers – the service from local GA Groundcare has also been ranked as first rate. “Everything with the purchase and the delivery of the machine in May was really simple.” He adds, “The team at GA, especially Matt Textor and Ashley Stevens, go above and beyond to make sure we’re getting the most out of our machines and are quick to answer any queries or questions we might have.” For more information on the cost-effective Eco woodchipper series, visit www.greenmech.co.uk

saw them quite a few times, always a great show,Alex would get very drunk, often adding to the theatrics, always a packed house, audience members would dress similar to Alex,,, Zal,, not so much I saw Zal with Nazareth too, and then again with Elkie Brooks, I believe he went on to play in many guises and tours but never saw him after that. someone said he was living in Spain, and they spoke briefly with him. imo SAHB were never the same without Alex, and the same can be said about Zal.

You go up westgate road and down Northumberland street as anyone local would know. I wasn’t aware that a juvenile retarded “ I’ve been out in the bigg market” more than you counted for much. Again WTF has racial bias and Newcastle got to do with anything. Im missing the point again 😂😂😂😂you stick to your office commute lad and leave me to worry about my own business 👍

Absolutely jealous of you having a permanent rink ,just saying to my other half about going to a proper ice rink and how it seems to be a thing of the 80s and early 90s. If not I will have to go to Denmark as they have a decent rink in the square every Xmas
-
We've got an ice rink fairly local too. Always enjoy that but the roller skating/blading place is only a mile down the road so that is too easy a choice.

It seems that the cops were somewhat overwhelmed. I imagine a few doors will be getting knocked on over the next few mornings.
