Buntline in Arboriculture
Uses: The buntline is used to secure rope to an object. It was originally used by sailors to secure buntlines to the foot of square sails, where the repeated flapping of the sails would tighten the knot.
Pros and Cons: The same properties that make this a secure knot also work against it when it comes to its use in arboriculture. Using knots that have a tendency to bind up can waste valuable minutes of the working day. Use this knot with caution.
