Look for cracks in the cast rotor and metal fatigue in the chassis, look at the condition of the rad core and run the engine with the cap off looking for bubbles. Get the serial number and check with the supplier for known history.

 

I would do this with any device, let alone a chipper!

The lower feed roller has moved to the side wearing into the side but only a small amount. Is this a major problem to sort. Also the spout has been welded at the bottom quite well and a new axle. It looks used but not rusty (could do with a paint job) and chips well. Its a 2006 with 2500 ish hours on. Checking history on Monday. What sort of price would I be looking at.

How much is he asking ?? I reckon 5 1/2 k tops , there's better machines out there
