6 way valve for log/rotaor grab

Hi All

 

Has any one fitted a 6 way valve with a solenid on a mini digger so you can rotate and close grab at same time by taping of bucket ram?

 

Or does any one know a better easier way to do this with only having one excilary curcuit?

 

Any thoughts appreciated

why 6 way you only need two services for your grab use the bucket ram for the grab open close and then fit a 2 way solenoid valve for rotation simples you can fit 2 change over valves with quick couplings on both sides of the bucket circuit to make it nice an easier to swap over

It maybe better the other way round!

 

The bucket tip/crowd control will give more control turning than a button control solenoid valve !

 

 

Is it a chipper, is it a mower or another broken stump grinder who cares we'll fix it!

no it won't be better round the other way round its logs he's picking up not eggs a cetop3 valve for rotation works perfect for this application trust me i do this for a living and it also more cost effective having a 1/4 rotation circuit than a 1/2" valve retrofitted for open /closing

6 way valve - 2 ports is obviously feed/return, a-b port is for bucket ram , c-d port is then your excilary port for rotation or grab, and the digger has already built in its own exc port . This way use foot peddle for one control and then press solenoid button in cab to use other grab control, rather than having to get in out all time valve flow directions

 

I might be wrong hence reason for asking question?

C top valve sounds like extra cost for a relatively simple job after all he's not making scramble egg!

 

Turning control is more important than the open and closing? Button control will only result in inch control and there for lack the variable speed element which will assist quicker timber alinement on pick up and drop

With WeFit It on this one re control options.

 

Re the actual fitment- all you need to do is fit a t-piece leading to aux connectors for the rotator and a tap on the bucket ram line. T-piece and connector each side and you only need a tap one side, just to lock the ram when you are using the grab.

 

When diggers come piped for clamshells this is how they do it. When you connect your pips up turn the tap. No reason whatsoever to make it more complicated than this.

so you would use the bucket crowd circuit for rotation this is a really poor idea and never gets done by manufacturers as they have buttons in the joysticks for rotation if the grabs too fast at rotting fit a restrictor in the feed to the valve
