Broken New Predator! Day 1

After 1.5hrs of using my brand new predator 28RX today I managed to crack a pipe fitting on the bottom of the track drive and leak most of the hydraulic oil everywhere! Must of driven over a small stick.

It really looks like it needs a protective plate to save the dangly pipes from destruction. Has anybody made any Mods to theirs? Thought it would be a bit more robust!

If you haven't already done so, contact Max at Predator. I found the best thing about the company is their after sales customer service. He was extremely helpful with problems I was having with a 360sw.

Initially it was just little things like a broken engine mounting bolt and frayed brake cable (i believe the design of the brake cable clamp have been changed to solve this now) - both replaced no question.

Then i started having running problems with the Kohler engine. I'm almost sure that this was just a carb issue but after the local Kohler service dealer tried to fix it and then the problem reoccurring, plus a further issue with a seized throttle cable, max insisted that i have a new replacement machine.

Predator give you the option of having the 13hp Honda GX390 engine on the 360sw so I requested the replace with that engine and haven't had a problem since.

I do still think that the brake system is inadequate to hold the wheel deck steady in certain situations although Predator say that they have not had any other negative feedback about the brakes but this is a small issue that i can live with.

The thing i love best about Predator machines are the multi-tooth cutting design. It's so quick and easy to change the teeth. I've got them on my Rayco 1625 and it took my under 4 minutes to strip all 6 teeth pockets off the machine the other day.
