I would imagine it would be £1000 plus for one though

If it is £1k plus, would be interesting to see what an engineering firm would charge to make one, if they could do it.

very interesting idea as its an older machine then there is no problems re warranty etc

 

sounds a good idea best to ask nothing to lose , just depends how quick you need the machine back up and running as dealers and Spectrum will prob have in stock , wheres it may take a week or 2 for the Engineering firm to make one (im presumming this time scale )

 

but again if ya dont ask you dont get a chance

Do you need the whole flywheel?

The shaft is replaceable the fins are replaceable

on the older machines the shaft is part of the flywheel that was the problem i had when my bearings went and damaged the shaft i was quoted well over a 1000 plus vat i took the flywheel to an enginering company that built up the shaft and machined it cost me about 80 quid he also said blade bolt pockets could be replaced hope this helps ill see if i can find his card but this was in the midlands
