petzl sequoia harness problems

Hi guys I recently bought the new version on this. It will be going back because 5 times either a leg loop has become inc clipped or the waist strap has. 1 time both did luckily I was standing on some thing quite substantial. It happens when moving about the crown and is easy to do by wiggling the buckles.

Has anyone else had issues as this is really bad.

I have the 2014 model which I presume has the same fastening system? Mine has been fine. Done a fair bit of climbing and had no problems whatsoever. You do have to make sure that both of the yellow plastic clips have opened into position once put on though. A couple of times I've had to jiggle them a bit to lock them in place. I also find that when taking it off, the buckle has to be lined up exactly straight, else the clips won't undo. I wonder whether you just have a faulty one, as I really can't see how it would come undone by accident. I love the harness and find it very comfortable. Must be pretty worrying to have it come undone up a tree.

one of the securest buckle designs as even with a sizeable spare tyre the flab is no-where near the buttons, do make sure that both clip in to place when you put it on, seen a few people forget/ not realise that both haven't located

If in doubt Lyon will gladly give it the once over for you, the retailer you bought it from will be able to sort out a lyon inspection for you

Heard of this before. My local dealer told me about it and it turned out it was a lad I used to work with, put it on here but got shot down as I was buying a tree motion at the time and they reckond the dealer was just trying to sell the more expensive harness

Rather than start a new thread....

Are the leg loop buckles replaceable on these? One of ours seems to have a problem and opened in use. On the back are a couple of screws, so I wondered if we could just swop it out, the harness is in good condition otherwise and only about 18 months old. If they're not, they're not and I'll order a new harness.
