Ford transit 2010 running issues

Hi,

I've got a 2010 ford transit that has recently been playing up. The turbo began cutting out loosing most of its power. This is intermittent tho as it sometimes drives normally. It's been looked at a couple of times by my mechanic but when it's run for tests it all comes back as working fine.

It's recently come back and has been running well, apart from the engine stalling when coming to a stop on occasion. It will be going back in but just thought I'd check here to see if anyone has had a similar problem, and resolved the issue. There is talk of the fuel pump on its way out. Seems to me to be more of an electrical problem maybe, but I have no mechanical knowledge.

Any similar issues would be good to hear about.

Cheers

Have you changed the fuel filter? Mine had similar symptoms & a new filter & software update solved it

The filters on these are due for a change every 37500 miles, seen lots of issues especially if any poor fuel has been used, check when your filter was last changed if it's due change it, that way u are not doing anything that's not req, also good advice on here get it plugged up, sometimes they won't code for a blocked filter but sometimes u get lots of injection codes which people assume is a pump issue

Hi

I had this on mine, went on for awhile. Sent it to a fuel injection specalist, about £400.

Local mechcanics have not got the kit for this type of problem.

Do you know what the actual issue was?

I has been plugged into a diagnostic program but every time it comes back with no faults. It's been re set back to factory which seems to do it for a little while.

Rail Pressure Deviation- and injecter coding-stripped and replaced SCV and carried out adaptions and correction values.

Dont know what it means, but is what the invoice says. Got it working though:thumbup1:

This valve controls the fuel rail pressure when it starts going wrong it will not through up a error code the only way to diagnose it is looking at the live fuel rail pressure, if it is faulty you will see big variations in the pressure in the rail coinciding with stalling uneven idle and slow throttle response.
