  1. About the job Would you like to work for a respected, forward thinking and well established AA Approved Company? We are based near Thame in Oxfordshire and are looking for an experienced person to join us as a Climber / Groundsman, and able to work within the team in a variety of roles. The work is varied and interesting with a strong emphasis on quality. You will be given all of the resources you need to deliver high quality tree work for a range of clients. You will be part of an experienced team with a good work ethic. You will need to have some experience of climbing and pruning trees, although you will have the opportunity to develop these skills over time within the company. A reasonable knowledge and genuine interest in arboriculture as well as the practical skills will be expected. Vehicle and machinery maintenance skills would also be an advantage as the applicant will be required to help with the routine weekly maintenance tasks. The successful applicant will need to communicate effectively and work well with others. We are looking for a candidate who is professional, reliable and adaptable to the range of work and clients that we have. In return we offer a competitive salary with bonus scheme, full holiday entitlements and the opportunity to train further and progress. Preferred Skills CS tickets up to 39 Ability to build and maintain good working relationships. Full UK license, HGV would be useful.
  2. Talking Elm Tree Services provide Domestic and Commercial arboricultural services from our office/yard which is based just outside of Norwich. We are currently looking for a new member to join our team initially, we can offer 2-3 days a week as a contractor, with the aim to expand our operations. Ideally we are looking for a minimum of a Second climber abilities (CS30,31,38 and 39 or equivalent) with a driving license. We would however welcome experienced climbers and can offer training to the right candidate. We also provide arboricultural consultancy services, so if you are suitably qualified ( level 3 +) and interested in gaining experience working in that environment ( CAD / Data acquisition training will be provided), that would be beneficial for all parties concerned.   3. Hello all from A.M Tree Surgeons. Im looking for an individual to either employ full time, but ideally as a sub contractor like myself, I'm open to both! The work is a range of private and commercial arboriculture, mainly contracting for other companies, but I do, do my own works too. For a better understanding of the works I do, check it out on Instagram @a.mprofessionaltreesurgeons The location is in and around the Thames valley area, my business is well equipped machinery wise, and my motivations are towards high end quality pruning and large tree felling, id rather work smarter and more efficiently. Applicants must be relatively qualified with a minimum of a driving license, Tree climbing, Arial rescue, Chainsaw from a rope and harness, felling small trees and chainsaw maintenance with cross cut tickets. First aid at work, trailer license, medium tree felling, rigging and dismantling, chipper training and Cscs and or a professional qualification would be a great advantage. Im a big believer in paying someone for what they can do, so come with a good attitude and willingness to learn or bring the same level of attention to detail as I have and you will do very well! Pay dose depend upon the level of your experience, however to give you an idea, basic pay would be close to £120 per day with the added incentive of a financial bonus when the jobs allow. immediate start for the right person, all ages considered!   8. Hi everyone, I'm currently self employed in north yorkshire but after breaking up with my girlfriend I would like to do some travelling and work while I'm away. I'm currently looking for jobs where I can do some skiing (Europe, cheaper flights!) but after that I'll be looking further a field... Anywhere! I surf too so I like the idea of NZ... If anyone has any advice/links/threads which might help me I'd love to hear about it. Was offered a job doing maintenance in a ski resort but i'd prefer to be in the trees! 25 years old. 18 months climbing. CS30,31,38,39..and I can just about help a conversation in French! I come with my own gear and transport, and work as a self-employed gardener, so I’m good to subcontract. I just started doing some climbing jobs as part of my business.   13. Hi everyone I wanted to put the feelers out to see, who may be around my area. Im looking for a Groundsman/ Climber with nptc tickets to work with/ for my company. I would prefer it if the person was over 25, motivated and wants to climb. A full Uk Driving License is essential and again would be better for me if they have a pre 97 or trailer license. Im a competent and very able climber, not particularly looking for a **** hot climber, more an individual who is open minded, motivated, punctual and has the right attitude. Must be willing to travel, As I still carry out Nationwide subcontract works, also must have some kind of tree works experience and the willingness to learn. I live between Northallerton & Darlington, covering and working in my local areas of Teesside, County Durham & North Yorkshire. I often travel up to 50 miles to work on a daily basis, I have some nice equipment and the ability to work efficiently. Good rates of pay available, with the possibility of added CASH Bonuses. Ideally, id rather any interested parties are self employed to start with, but would not have a problem employing the right person full time.
