This training is designed only to help learners recognise hazardous trees as part of their other duties and then report what has been seen to an appropriate person. It is not expected that learners will have a detailed knowledge of tree biology, legislation, or any other specific arboricultural specialism. Hiya, I'm new to Arbtalk so just looking back at conversations/topics posted. I work in Land Based Training at Berkshire College of Agriculture, which is probably too far for you to travel, especially at the moment. We have recently added ATV , side by side, NPTC courses to our offerings onsite at the College. We provide the ATV and include training, assessment and certification in the cost.

NPTC Certificate of Competence in the Thorough Examination of Arboricultural Equipment (LOLER) Course Information This qualification is specifically for those who inspect lifting equipment in the arboriculture industry. The Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) 1998 require that all lifting equipment is subject to a regular thorough inspection by a competent person. The course will cover the Inspection of a range of arboricultural rigging equipment to prove competence in recognising faults and various loads and limits involved with arboricultural rigging equipment. It also covers legislation and terminology. A written exam and independent assessment are included. Course Date; 22nd - 25th February 2021.
