    Im sure there's some parts in the spares box that came with another saw ill dig them out for you.
  3. Im trying to match up these two carburettors to which Husqvarna saws as was given in a box of parts. EL49 435A and EL49 512A. I seem to think 555 560 562 but which as ive looked at the carbs that should match these saws and its listed EL44 Thanks

  6. As adw mentioned the flex hone but like you say the old method works fine if its a one off. Might have to think about this one thanks.

Today i was given a box of various husqvarna cylinders with the numbers 5778850-02 and 5102045 and have no idea what they are from other than 500 series i would say so Im after some help in identifying which models these cylinders are from. Husqvarna only reference cylinder kit number and not cylinder alone. Thanks for your time.
  10. Adw has come to the rescue so ill quote incase someone else requires the same info 5778850-02 is the husqvarna 555 and 5102045-01 is a 560xp.

  13. Ive read a thread somewhere that some fuel stations have 0 ethanol and something tells me esso was the brand. As a small user ill certainly be filling up when i find my nearest outlet.
  14. You could immerse the saw in water, pressure the crankcase whilst piston is at bdc and look out for bubbles from your air leak.

  19. Good compression, no piston scoring, pump diaphragm was rather hardish tbh. Like you say spud worth getting it plugged in and see what comes up. No idea on hrs you obviously have the software to read this I take it? Thanks
  20. No I've removed that and all was fine.
  21. Couldn't tell you that, I acquired it as is and then put e5 with husqy oil mix.
  22. Had another look this morning, all linkages and click working ok, stripped carb and found crud in gauze so cleaned that thinking yes I've got it but no it's still the same it dies when I apply throttle. Noticed diaphragm wasn't very flexible? Thanks

  24. Just had a thought,when I went to have a look the right hand plastic locating pin wasn't fitted into the rubber holder ( what carb lug fits into on both sides) just wonder if that stopped it activating as carb was up on one side compared to the other?
