  1. Ok, that's over my head unfortunately I'm more nuts m bolts!!
  2. Good compression, no piston scoring, pump diaphragm was rather hardish tbh. Like you say spud worth getting it plugged in and see what comes up. No idea on hrs you obviously have the software to read this I take it? Thanks
  3. No I've removed that and all was fine.
  4. Couldn't tell you that, I acquired it as is and then put e5 with husqy oil mix.
  5. Had another look this morning, all linkages and click working ok, stripped carb and found crud in gauze so cleaned that thinking yes I've got it but no it's still the same it dies when I apply throttle. Noticed diaphragm wasn't very flexible? Thanks
  6. Not sure about that,I acquired the saw as is but with your comment and spuds I'll examine further thanks
  7. Just had a thought, when I went to have a look the right hand plastic locating pin wasn't fitted into the rubber holder ( what carb lug fits into on both sides) just wonder if that stopped it activating as carb was up on one side compared to the other?
  8. Great thanks spud
  9. Can you circle where I should concentrate on, not my actual carb thanks
  10. Thanks spud I'll examine it closer and keep you posted.
  11. No I don't as I compared that to my 562 and thought something isn't right in that area.
  12. Good evening a bit of help is required. I've a 560xp that I start the usual way choke it fired, push lever down to fast idle, it fires and idles on that but when you blip the throttle nothing changes it's as if it's continuously on fast idle. Took exhaust off and lots of excess fuel there which is exactly as I suspected. Any help appreciated thank you
  13. I've rebuilt many a 346xp and ms260's so I do have a compression tester, pressure/vacuum tester, crank cases splitter etc so that work I'm not worried about. Jusneed that power/ throttle response which I'm sure could be unleashed by the right person. Thanks again
  14. OK thanks, maybe a muffler mod to begin with but shame it can't be done same time as my teardown to do bottom end.
  15. Ah right ok shame really would love to have it opened up. Think I need to tear it down as revs were raising yesterday when I laid her on the ground whilst clearing a huge beech. Any recommendations on someone? Done fancy sending it to the states for tinman to do 😄
  16. spudulike. Thanks so much for your prompt reply, I'll get onto it and keep you posted. It really needs wakening up aswell so probably get back to you regarding that unless you'd like to reply with your thoughts Thanks
  17. Sorry spudulike predictive txt now corrected.
  18. Sorry predictive txt should have read saws. So a partial tear down to get to the generator or is there a way to measure current at the switch when the saw is running to avoid the teardown? Thanks
  19. Any of you guys out there that can give me advice on the above saws non working g. I have a multimeter so I can use that at the switch connection but just need to know what to set it at and what readings I should get. Any more advice welcomed thanks
