  1. I know of a few assessors that are rarely booked by certain colleges/training providers because they regularly fail candidates, not because they are c*nts, but because they are thorough, do the job right and make the right call. I use these guys to assess my candidates whenever I am back in the UK because of this, the candidates always know they have performed well and earned their stripes.
  2. No one is laughing at anyone.
  3. I could quite easily go and target certain colleges and training providers whose Instructors are winging it at best, and fail every one of them, I choose not to. I assess for a small, select group of top quality Instructors, who I know are top of their game, have been for years and are still heavily involved commercially in the industry at a high level. The training, sites and kit are top notch, and the results are generally very positive for the candidates involved, I choose to be involved in this instead.
  4. So your assessor wasn’t even an assessor?
  5. Shame you weren’t a confident 18 year old who would surely have challenged the assessors decision, after all, you did everything right.
  6. Apart from the hinge removal bit?
  7. I have worked alongside tractor based and purpose built forwarders for over 30 years so I do have a fair idea of their capabilities. So now the assessor did deal with it, this bullshit is getting deeper by the minute. 😂
  8. I know what the capabilities of a forwarder are and how to untangle a tree 😂. If you have safely attempted to bring down a hung tree using appropriate methods but where unable to do so, and you arranged mechanical assistance to deal with it, you would not fail, you clearly failed for other things, memory has a funny way of playing tricks.
  9. When was this exactly, because candidate feedback has been around forever.
  10. You clearly were ‘not competent’, hence you failed. You didn’t fail because a forwarder driver, who wasn’t even being assessed, couldn’t get your tree down, nor because the assessor was a c*nt.
  11. On my small felling ticket I forgot to put my gob in, then pushed the tree over with my knob, assessor didn’t like my 18 year old confidence, so I bitch slapped him until I passed.
  12. This thread is going to quickly escalate into bullshittery and bollox of the highest order, largely made up of nonsense and things that never happened, but good luck with the ‘data’.😂
  13. What size trees where these when a forwarder couldn’t get it down? 😂
  14. Spent a couple of days this week working with a mate over in Cognac. Four conifers to remove, two Atlas cedar and two Spanish fir. They had been topped out in the past due to the risk of lightning strike, the region is flat and these trees are the highest thing on the horizon. Two had serious damage/delamination from recent strikes, a bit iffy on the climb as the crown on the largest Cedar would twist left and right as each limb was removed. All brash chipped, saw log cut to 3.4m for the mill to uplift next week and see what is salvageable. The gardener sent some drone footage of Nico up the tree. 15. I never said that your Trakmet was a hobby mill, I said you was a hobby miller. Nice bike. 👍
  16. This war didn’t start two years ago or when Hamas where created in 1987.
  17. Funded by Israel, never.
  18. Isreal has banned all foreign reporters from entering Gaza.
  19. Let’s compare a daytime march with a notorious three day bender and compare data. 😂 As usual, you have completely missed the point.
  20. Why don’t you start the thread, it can be all about you then. 😂 My photography is a hobby, I’ve had a few exhibitions internationally, never had any intention of doing it to make money, I have other outlets for that.
  21. I love the fact that you have created an imaginary ATL especially for yourself, then you can pretend you are actually valid, you do make me laugh. I have invested tens of thousands in cameras, photographic equipment and a darkroom over the years, just like your milling, it’s still a hobby.
  22. Very few marches involve people ‘looking for trouble’ thats not the point. However, with large groups of people trouble can and usually does spill over, I know people who where there, all wrong uns, I can’t remember the last time so few arrests where made, that’s why I am staggered.
  23. Why do you need everything explaining to you?
  24. The minimal violence and lack of arrests are pretty staggering compared to the numbers in attendance.
  25. 1) Knebworth 125 thousand people 2) Glastonbury 250 thousand people Apparently there were 3 million at the March, however, 2.9 million watched it at home on TV with a Stella and a ruby, well it’s the thought that counts.
