Would be appreciated please. Although if stihl are anything like husky ones it won't be much cheaper buying just the spout than buying the whole can with spouts 🙁
Tried it today and I'm afraid the stihl cap doesn't fit on the husky can

I knew I would find an exciting thread like this when I started looking for a replacement fuel cap for my husky combi can 😀
Problem with mine is that as well as not closing (that's not such an issue for me, I just push it closed before taking it out of the tank) it has also cracked where it screws on to the can. Mine is like the one pictured by the OP. My question is whether the stihl cap will fit the Husky can, as they appear to be marginally better. Anybody tried this?
I considered doing this when the 3rd spout started to stick, but after asking a few people I got the stihl can/spouts and not had an issue since.
If it helps I'll try putting the stihl spout on a husky can to find out if it fits

It makes me laugh when 'on paper' people are classed as obese, I worked on a ten man gang years ago, we had a wellness check by the company we worked for, 9 out of the ten were obese on paper, right! We were quite a fit bunch of lads.
I was the odd one out, I've been 11 n half to 12 stone since I was in my late teens.
Was just thinking, there was a photo posted here at one time (I think by aspenarb) of his son on a rugby pitch looking extremely fit and strong, on paper he was obese too

I understood that birds wiping the stickiness off of their beaks after eating berries could spread it too, is that wrong?

Talking of 2 stroke oil I use 1 of those stihl bottles where you squeeze it to 5lt mark then add it to 5lt fuel out of interest what rating is that 50:1 etc
It is 50:1. Fairly sure it's written on the label but I could be imagining that

Had similar issues with an 07 L200. First time the engine management light came on and limp mode, mechanic plugged in to laptop and said it needed new injector, was fine after.
Second time it had no power above 2k rpm, was lumpy as you called it, and his laptop led him to a vacuum hose needing replaced.
Think if you can find a smaller garage to check the fault codes on it they'll find the issue in a few minutes

How accurate is your watch Commando?
Have a couple of friends with these type of watch and they say things that seem a bit strange.
An overweight office worker that's sweating and panting after walking up a small hill told me quite seriously his heart rate was only 46, made me a touch cynical of the technology!

Yes, it is recommended. As htb said, if you don't use one then climbing will be harder work, you may damage the tree and your ropes will be messy

This reminds me of the lovely neighbours that retired here from a city.
They said a fox attacked a badger in their garden, when I went to look it was a clean deer skin with neat cuts from a sharp knife, on the snow with no footprints near. She's still telling people a badger was savaged in her garden

Yep but £22 billion we're talking here - the £35k per annum for nurses was a rough estimate [got online!].
But £22 frigging billion!! It's a staggering amount of money and for what? I mean how many people can you feed and home for that cash! And this is only only the track and trace - what about the rest of 'it'!
I'm going to stay stuck on it for a while - I don't get why this is not all over the news every day - no way that money has gone to legitimate contractors...
It does seem ridiculous.
My feeling is because the PM did his usual mouthing off in advance (it'll be world beating etc), the government threw money at it in the hope of achieving the promise.
Meanwhile they tell us things with a smaller cost like kids meals, homelessness, the benefit uplift (£20 per week!) are unaffordable.

Remember as a nipper helping my dad to change a spring. It was placed on the ground on a narrow path between two walls and compressed with a car jack using fence wire to hold it. Have spring compressors these days so much less exciting.
The noise in your vid Paddy sounds like a headboard knocking!

Have used chainsawbars and they're very good.
Recommended them to a friend who's very pleased with his new bar and chain too

Yep I get the feeling that people’s perfectly good vehicles could easily get devalued with an iffy unfair mot history
i definitely wouldn’t buy a car with an oil leak as could mean anything but struggle to see how this can just appear out of nowhere since very little miles done since previous test.
it was at a Halfords branch .they quoted 455£ for 20£ of parts+ labour
Jack, if it was Halfords then not surprising it's so expensive, a mate went to get headlight bulbs fitted and they wanted almost £60 for 2. Independent place 5min away supplied and fitted for £20.

Just realised I hadn't replied to this but based in The Witterings just south of Chichester
I just had a look at the Roland Hemings which people hae suggested and certainly their cost of courses is quite competative ... I'll see if I can find out what their accomodation cost is.
It's a long time since I looked at the prices, but I could travel from Scotland to Roland Heming and do course with accommodation for similar cost to just the course locally.
Worth checking it out.
PS: be aware that assessment may be an additional day after the training

I'm still trying to work out how a tree weighing 14 tonnes holds 17 tonnes of CO2 😂
It's like my water bottle, a capacity of 750ml but it's held hundreds of litres

For me looking at them as well ... location will unfortunately probably be my deciding factor. Some of the courses are 5 days so unless you can commute on a daily basis the cost's going to go through the roof if you have to pay for a room as well and would probably end up eating out / getting takeaways the whole time.
Does the 5 day course include the assessment or is it an additional day?
There are training providers that offer a combined price for training, assessment and accommodation.
I know Roland Heming does that, and the total price including accommodation is cheaper than the course alone elsewhere

My own helmet and definitely no heads were damaged.
I'm often reminded if I look like I'm losing patience, that I'm at risk of another 'chainsaw helmet moment'

On recent experience, as this is such low level altercation, I'd say there are at least five levels, maybe more. The big question is, if it gets really fierce, are there levels above Handbag? Felling levers? Chainsaws? 🤔
I hadn't even considered a level beyond handbags, that would be a serious altercation!
I did once throw a chainsaw helmet in anger, wonder where that incident would sit on the scale
Jokes???
