  1. Thank you for your feed back?
  2. If anyone can help me out here, I’ve ordered an 18inch guide bar and chain for my ms250. Would this guide bar and chain be too much strain on the engine when cutting? The saw has a very used 16” bar on at the moment and is in need of changing plus it needs a new chain as well. Thanks
  3. That for the reply Spud, I guess I could try working on the flywheel first and see how I get on, the spark plug is new with the correct gap setting so it would be the flywheel or the coil gap. I can always take it in for repairs, if you was closer I would have brought it too you. Paul Tomo
  4. I’ve got a 044 and when I pull the starter handle it almost rips my arm out the socket, I’ve had the saw going many times without trouble but now it’s playing up. Ive had for 20 years and it’s still in very good condition and I would like to keep it as it is a work horse, any ideas on whether I could sort the problem out myself or should I get it in to the local dealers for repair.
  5. Like I said the harness should fit tight around your waist , I hope you mean the video I saw is rubbish. The video is called how to adjust a treeMotion evo with John trenchard, It’s on YouTube. I use the treeMotion evo and I have it tight around my waist and not how he says.
  6. Not sure what you mean stubby please be more clear in what you are saying.
  7. I saw an article on YouTube with some Teufelberger guy say you want the tree motion evo lower than waist height more on the lower hips to protect the lower part of your back when working in the harness, your going to fall out if you was to go upside down. The harness needs to be to be round your waistline I would say.
  8. I’ve got the motion evo and if I just relax and lay back as if I was unconscious I would go upside down, this I’m sure is not a good position to be in. I’m 5.8 and at the moment 13stone 12lbs I was just under 16 stone when I decided to get back into tree work, and 12 stone is my goal for November as I’m going on two tree courses. take the advice from the other more experienced tree guys and try on more harness’s and good luck.
  9. I was looking at the MS150 and I do like it very much, feels nice and comfortable to hold. Maybe I should put this machine on the list as well? But I’m reading so much about the other two. I’m using the MS250 at the moment.
  10. I’m looking buying either the Stihl MS 201 TC-M or the Husqvarna T540 XP. All my my chainsaws are Stihl at the moment but I’ve used Husky’s before and have been very satisfied with these machines. I would like some feedback from you guys on performance and maintenance. Cheers paul Tomo
  11. I’m starting the same course in November and at the moment I’m using the hitch climber, would I need to go back to just using the friction hitch while on the course?.
  12. What are people’s thoughts on Drenaline ? I’m looking for a climbing rope to use with the hitch climber setup. I’m starting a tree access and rescue course in November and I’m needing to buy a climbing rope and I was wondering which one to buy?
  13. I’m looking at doing the the same course this coming October. I’ve received a equipment list and I need to take spikes, has anyone else used spikes on this course?.
  14. Some advice on buying a new rope for using with the hitch climber. At the moment I’m using the Yale hedera 11.7mm but thinking of buying a new rope and I was wondering what other rope would be most suitable for use with the hitch climber. Paul Tomo
