  1. I was thinking a bucking special,  and that is I guess a crippling cut of the smaller tree. But set a line up before hand. Just in case you need to giver a tug. Then the bigger as stated before, gob it then bore cut then release.

if it all sits the rope will give the smaller tree a help

so I guess what’s been said before,

ohh and don’t forget the vid ??

  2. What friction  knots have you tried,

    i got the 75cm ?2?

i found with this 75 the vt 4 and 3 it was a bit short, and the 3 and 3 was a bit quick for my liking.

so maybe an extra wrap would help you,

Btw hopefully someone else will chime in. As it will help me hearing others views.

  3.

I sent you the sm for the 034\036 +QS

you will have to see if you have fitted it correctly, the bits you need ie handle and chain break of the QS are in the sm.

other than this this I can’t help any more. I'm the sort of person that has to see it then follow the sm step by step

edit: let me know if I sent the sm correctly and if it helps you fix it.

as it just may help others in you shoes at a later date ?

  4. I know this as stags horn, rhus typhina. The thing throws suckers up and spreads if you let it. They are easily mowed down or pulled up. It’s not my favourite tree by far, but it does change it leaves colour in the autumn

edit, apita to get rid of by pulling up mowing, but time is what it takes.

  5. Ahh, but you forget the time it takes to do the cut to square off the log. Times this many times over. That’s a lot of logging time, and where the hell is that log it could be halfway down a steep hill.

and also maybe the humbolt cut is in the flare/buttress...which is not wanted..

  6.  It really depends on where you are and some of the regs in the place your cutting, eg USA or Canada and the types/size of trees

there are also some types of cut prohibited due to safety reasons, eg Swanson, bucking billy did this 40’ up a tree and it (the other 50’) landed flat. Or was it the other way round ?

there are plenty sources of info around

    https://www.osha.gov/SLTC/etools/logging/manual/felling/cuts/notches.html

  7. She what, 53yrs.  Some peeps show there age, some don’t..

anyhow who ever it  is on tv, maybe that’s there tv personality, they could be better or worsr in real life.

oh I did meet her once, seemed nice at the time...but that was more than 15yrs ago,,, more like 20yrs

  8. And before I got round to the ignore list. I see that baited reply.

The police / DVSA solution to that is, issue ticket let court sort it out at your cost.

I don’t need you telling me this

And You can say that... because your on your copuuter . I told the troof , mr plod prove me wrong.     And

I knew a truck driver, he was a laugh, and took the piss when he could. He told me many stories, but what I took... from every story , was... do not let the cop give you a ticket, because you would have to go to court and tell the judge the cop does not know his job. And said cop would be in court,, his answer was a day wasted, but laugh at the cop...in court btw..I would win..... becuse the law was on my side ...

I know this is public place .

You may have some good in you keeping people from straying off the wrong path... but I don’t need this. I was not off the path.....

your gonna be in my ignore list ???????????????

are you just just here to sell your trailer driving wares...?

What's wrong with living in a caravan?, or recently splitting up with the Mr's?

There’s nothing wrong with living in a caravan, after all most peeps do it for a holiday somtime in there life??

and spliting up with a partner, (we’ve all done this as well). ☹️

Its really just to substantiate why your there  ?

  11. landrover broke down  (if I read previous post correctly)  so only option was to leave my mate with landy (and who was driving it and recovery vehicle could not take trailer) so  I had to continue the journey. ??

Or your a caravan dweller, just split up with the misses... you can think up the rest. Just like the caravan type do.... local caravan park....

but up to you what you do...

  12. Well, you may bang your head whilst climbing or a dead limb may fall and hit you . Both will make you feel unwell and dizzy. Then you would need a rescuing.

no really it’s just a safety thing in the unlikely event it start to rain ?

Edit: Well if I think about insurance and working it would show that you have looked into the h&s side to reduce any possible  injurys from an employer side.

you could always take it off if the need was to arise...?

  13. I did pick up a trailer, it was a coffee bar trailer..i was asked if it was my main job by the the guy from company that made the trailer.

No, I,m just taking it home for a friend ( that was the troof) his reply was,, cos it was his job and he may have not believed me, if you do it for a living you need a taco....I smiled and said, I don’t need one, this is the first time I’ve done this.

there are many peeps driving around, and they have stories to tell mr vosa or plod if they get stopped... my friend has.been making coffee all day, I’m just taking it home for her because her car broke down

remember your not guilty until they prove it.. so have your story ready and don’t let them make you elaborate

  14. I read this thread, and think you need to pressure and vac test first.... then see if you find a leak, (maybe a crank seal) That could be the  real reason why it semi seized. Unless neat gas has been used. Have you let or know if  anyone else used it..?

if you just get the bits you think you need then reassemble it only to find you have to dismantle it again.

my best advise is, unless you are good at fixing things and can bodge up a p&v test. It would be better to ask spud what it may cost to fix..  it would save you a lot of time.

btw it’s a good saw to port, so  YouTube it to see what they can be made to do.

edit, if you took it to a dealer, they’d say bin it and buy a new saw.
