  1. There’s the plastic but it’s not coming
  2. i can see it, its just shake shake shake and hope i suppose. then get bored and try what you all suggest
  3. replacing sprocket on 201. put the plastic piston jammer that came with new sprocket into chamber, undone nut and replaced sprocket successfully but the plastic jammer was sliced in two and half is left in chamber and i cannot jiggle it out. this happened to anybody? looked on you tube and one bloke used a bit of thick cord to jam the piston saying the plastic jammer was too harsh a tool. wish i'd done that now but clearly this tool not up to the job?
  4. Doubles for drying lumber
  5. While we are on the subject, how often do the chainsaw trousers need to be washed? Once a year or every two years?
  6. got a load of oaks saplings about a foot high ready to plant out. have roe deer knocking about. do i have to purchase the plastic tube protectors factoring in roe deer NOW ie 5ft or so, or can i just go for rabbit protection height tubes and wait for the saplings to reach the required height? (assuming my wood will still be around post Brexit)
  7. Just don’t let booze be a coping mechanism (or drugs and food for that matter) I was never one for exercise for exercise sake but when I discovered rock climbing I was all of a sudden, a health fanatic. Arthritis stopped that about 10 years ago (I should have continued with hindsight cos the positives far outweighed the negatives)
  8. Or as the kids call it “Bish Vegas” with not a small amount of sarcasm

  13. i am a half pint full man and have always seen a positive in everything. if i can suffer from depression at the age of 52 then any fecker can. Eggs, did they test you for Lyme disease? they must have tested you for Weils disease as you spend your time in shitty water???
  14. spot on. you are wasted in arboriculture. do you think that's what the 2 papers were trying to say? 1. arborists can suffer genuine stress. 2. off shore workers can be self absorbed narcissists?
  15. oh, i get it now, didn't before. must have a blind spot for immigrants
  16. i'm still a "get a grip of yourself" bloke even though i've just come off a 2 and a half year stint of successful antidepressants. obviously anybody else who had had my worries over my cat's alopecia would have topped themselves. Good on you Eggs. men in general need to bring this stuff from under the carpet rather than bottle it up. just don't bring it up in the pub coz that's a right buzz kill
  17. I'm occ health trained and came across this https://www.researchgate.net/publication/235759351_Occupational_Stress_Impact_on_Mental_Health_Status_of_Forest_Workers basically, mentally fit bunch despite the physical risks also came across this https://www.martek-marine.com/blog/mental-health-problems-at-sea-a-storm-is-brewing/ bunch of lunes that spend their time slagging off people apparently. amazing what you learn
  18. I had some haggis left over and put it in a stew. Enriched it no end. Black pudding good for this as well. Mick’s bit about only get stuff in Ireland in the 70s reminds me of only getting my hands on Irn Bru and snowballs (coconut scones) when I ventured north to visit family and get beaten up for being a pufter sassenach Now they are widely available I’m not bothered plus the snowballs would make a good damp course
  19. Thanks to all. Gonna get a used (well effing used by the looks of its pic) 201
  20. Frigging ell. Too much to choose here. Now I’m tempted by the 201 12 or 14” bar?
