  1. Nice work my friend.

At first I wondered what all the moaning and groaning was about? I thought you may have found a woodpecker hole or something.

Later in the video I realised it was the exertion on you when at the ends of those limbs.

    Keep em coming mate.

I believe thats called dendophillia Rich

    :laugh1:

I was coping some excessive G forces with the combined fluff and nut weights on those ends - really feeling it deep in the core on the swings.

appreciate the props and positive vibes !!

    Ben.

  2. Raw as always bro! Great to see you giving them X Rings a workout on the Euc's everytime and the bottlejack...and a fellow Protos fan!

Thanking you Silky fox - throwing everything at it but the kitchen sink on that job.

Love my pfanner Protos helmet, wouldn't be without it now but recommend to any potential buyers to purchase a second set of liners - that helmet stank can build up fast :blushing:

  3. Sweeping the old leaves off them tin sheets again bud 😜

Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app

Ohh Yeah - You know it :001_tongue:

My biggest broom deployment to date,

some people been asking whether I left the nails in the roof sheets but I can assure all and sundry the nails were still there :001_cool:

not a leaf was left behind....

    Ben.

  4. Good work. I thought those first few bits were going to end in tears for the shed and next doors fence.

    Have you got a GRCS?

Yah Jonny I was fearful that those first pieces were going to produce a few tears myself but I needed to clear that lower section ruthlessly so I could get up to the tasty pieces above.

and no I do not possess a GRCS or a Hobbs but would dearly love to

that whole job was done with a couple of portawraps

    Ben

  5. Put on Happy face!....and a Protos lid yeah!

Yeah I was grining from ear to ear on that job, too wet for us Aussies :001_smile:

you like my lid? I noticed a german climber has copied my sharks tooth grin design recently onto his protos helmet - I guess flattery is expressed in imitation but he could have had the decency to credit me ,

    any hoo thanks Ben

  6. Way to keep it real Ben!

First time I've seen a euc jacked over!

I don't trust eucs to hinge well or very long myself.

Your ending was smashing mate, simply smashing!

    Jomoco

    Cheers Jomoco,

yah the bloody beggars just won't crack that hinge nicely so I use brute hydraulic force - phuck em if they won't play nice then neither will I.

that camera box you could say made itself lol.

    Ben

  7. Great filming, and some really good music for a change!

You must have been relieved that big top worked itself free from the other trees, that can be a pita.

Thankyou Mick - yes I was doing the cmon cmon cmon wiggle on that top as it slide down half expecting to have to do some silly thing to get it untangled but thankfully we became golden.

  8. Nice day at the office on the Tassie. Thanks for posting.

    thankyou Mick,

nothing spectacular more on the blog side of things but I was pretty happy with the way the trunk ended up settling into the alleyway.

  9. Hi ben always enjoy your vids,is your top handler modified,it always sounds raspy and really meaty

    G'day stihlmadasever,

thankyou - not a massive job but a busy day.

yes that 200 has been rebuilt with a nice bite to it for sure,

I take some pride in the way it barks like a angry beast

  10. Hi Mick ,

nah you are reading it correctly sir - the chains needed to be a bit higher and I was over ruled by the crane op on that one .

only thing going my way was the positioning of the chains and the quick reflexes of the crane op once the piece separated in getting it away from me.

a little bit poopy moment to remind every one about the balance of a load and not one I care to repeat.

    Ben

  11.

takedown I inherited from another climber who muffed it up like a muppet and then ran away when his lowering rope ( cheap old three strand) broke on some main timber nearly killing a staff member on the ground.

lowered out the fluff and the secondary timber that was left and craned out the main timber with a 16 tonner.

contract climbing means Ambush from time to time...

    cheers Ben.

  12. I've Only just had the chance to watch this one now mate :thumbup1:

lovely work as always mr stihlmad , constantly out there getting it done bro.

too busy training for the climb comp after work?

haha its all good Jesse

    appreciate the props

  13. Good one Ben, up to your high standards, good rope work on the ground as well.

It wouldn't be a stihlmad vid without your shouts of encouragement to yourself.

"I'll take that as a win!"

    Love it.

    Thank you very much Mick,

I also hand out compliments to all the crew during a job for what ever reason

the rope man is the bossman of that company and a twenty year vet in the industry - I told his son and the upcoming climber at Bradleys that I was keeping him and they were not getting him back
