  1. That is such a nice video, well done, added to my favourites list for sure, so chilled out both in the editing and soundtrack, where do you source these soundtracks from?

Definitely a video I'll be revising.

G'day Gray git , the music came from soundcloud but I dont have a licence for its use just the general utube see if it flys approach.

some sites for tunes I like are premium beats and beat pick also vimeo has a internal music store , I prefer to buy the use licence when I can to avoid a copyright strike issue with utube.

thankyou for the props, much appreciated.

  2. Ben,

that is some seriously top editing of footage :thumbup1:

Fantasic clip, keep it up mate :thumbup:

Thank you very much Mr MEng , I would like to say everything went smoothly on that job but I edit the footage so am saving that little tidbit for my retirement blooper reel.:blushing:

I am glad you both appreciate the edit and enjoyed watching the film :thumbup1:

    cheers Ben.

  3. That's a cool way of setting it up, looks very responsive and grabs well, top 1 just for holding on descents?

Yes Gray git it was colemannz Jesse's idea and stops the finger burning on hot rope on the down slide but works great for controlling the VT as well.

  4. a modification to the VT hitch and hitch climber pulley with a couple of x-rings to create the X-Tender hitch.

employs a XXR 14x10 and a XXR 20 x14 X-ring with a DMM hitch climber pulley and a spliced eye to eye prussic with two rock exotica oval carabiners. on 11.7 mm samson vortex rope.

Get the X-rigging rings from xtremearborist.com and treestuff.com

  5. Splendid vids squire, they're all very enjoyable! I like the fact that you're a bit of a mystery too, you can never quite hear or see you! :)

Thank you very much sir, I do not have a face suitable for television so to speak thats why I do tree work lol.

so yeh it has become a bit of a running gag not to show my face whenever possible and since I do the filming and editing that seems to happen an awful lot. I prefer to let my work speak for me.

    cheers Ben.

  6. Sean, reading about your plight and that of the builder in the same ward brought this poem to mind.

"life is mostly froth and bubble, two things stand out like stone,

kindness in anothers misfortune and courage in your own." Lindsay Gordon 1833 - 1870.

having looked down at my poor willie all shrivelled with a plastic tube sticking out and had rough types wipe my botty or sponge bath me I have nothing but admiration for your empathy for others in a worse state than yourself.

keep on keeping on, sound like you have the intestinal fortitude to pull through this with a sense of humour and some wit still intact.

    Ben.
