Tophandle i use a husky T540xp, MILLING: I use either a 395xp36" SUGI bar with ripping chain or My 3120xp 52" SUGI bar with ripping chain for bigger things. PPE: ANDREW boots, soooo comfy! AXE: Wetterlings, forest axe and small forest axe. cheaper than a gransfors, same quality, razor sharp!!!! only because of rumours that gransfors are not a very accommodating supplier to distributors! I service a 70 acre forest.
  2. Bartletts are looking for arborist climbers in western Canada and Toronto! I'm currently in Vancouver and been browsing their website, out of interest! I would happily ignore any comments on age!
  3. clearly in a hurry to get it on the floor, get it processed and get out of there. no excuse for poor assessment, smaller chunks and more time would have had it on the floor safely.

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
