  1. [ame] [/ame] Three days of the best weather not the best trees but decent customers non the less. Thank guys
  2. lol cheers, ye it took a little more time as the customer was actually working on the shed at the time. I think you can hear drills and saws going during the video. there was a limb that was heading straight over the shed that was rigged off nicely, the customer stood and watch anxiously, luckily it went well. I didnt film it due the rain coming over again. all the best kingjero
  3. in your opinion would it be easier to do it from a cherry picker ?? although i am not keen on them, just wondered what crown reducing a tree from a picker was like cheers joe
  4. Good point, i also have limited experience especially when it come to crown reductions at 10 and 20%. I know horse chestnut don't react very well when hit quite hard, like you said.
  5. lol ye the customer was knocking around all day Dont suppose you saw that large horse chestnut next to it, well our boss dropped it on that we get to do a 10 to 20% reduction on it. My reply was WHY??? it needs 30 % at the min i would have thought. TPO'd tree aswell Oh the joys
  6. haha.............. no am 5'8 lol The boss decided to get a 36" bar for it
  7. It was a 660, i wouldn't dream of using an 880 on that size of stem lol To be honest never used an 880 to date cheers
  8. ye the first stem was rotten to about 6 ft high, i just wish i had caught the dismantle part of it. You have been able to see the over extending branches and the lean of the crown. The other had that tight union you see right at the end of the video, both stem were 50ft on top of that union, hence why it came out. It was a good day. Dont often get the chance to do tall trees like them. Cheers any who

  14. The client had a large macrocarpa down for removal. I said i would make a little of it. Nothing exciting just another macrocarpa lol [ame] [/ame] cheers guys
  15. nice one cheers, i like the idea of the gel i have mulched all other beds but there is one bed i can't mulch as its on a slope and over time, blows away and trickles down on to the grass. i am trying to encourage more ground coverage from the surrounding plants but the weeds just find somewhere else to grow. thanks again
  16. hi, I recently took on a weeding job at someones house for a bit of extra cash on the weekends and now i am struggling to keep up with them. The garden itself is massive and the flower beds also. I wanted to know if any one has any info on spraying the weeds off with out damaging surrounding plants. the plants are things such as cotoneaster, heathers, rosemary, all low lever woody type plants. I have my spraying ticket but have only ever used roundup or tordon. anyone got any info on any other types of chemicals i could use?? this would be a massive help Thanks P.s. if no, i guess ill just have to keep pulling the little blitters out by hand
  17. cheers, it was discussed about tying the bollard onto the tree next to it with a redirect on the beech stem but i decided it would be ok to take a thin slither out of the compression side. Good to see others think about this kind of thing too.
