  12. Afternoon gents, for those echo lovers out there what is a good price to pay for a new 620 sx running on an 18 inch bar, and who sells these saws, i bought a very good second hand cs420 and i'm well impressed so i'm going for the 620 from new, price inc vat would be great, thanks John.
  13. Whats wrong with the stihl hp red, forestry lads and many other cutters have used it for years with no problems? will be interested to know why its no good, thanks John.
  14. Hi, you should be able to use any of the chainsaw brand two stroke oils, all modern oils are pretty good these days, i've always used stihl oil and i haven't had any problems with that on small and big cc saws, i use to run all my saws on 50.1, but after putting my big stihl in for a service the small engine gent that has been running for years has advised me to change to 40.1, he see's a big difference in chainsaws that run on 50.1 and 40.1, this goes for modern and old saws, i'm now on my second month of using 40.1 and will keep you posted, will be interesting to see what your husky dealer recommends for you to run your saws at, thanks John.
  15. Sorry same rule if its 44 Tonnes or 7.5t.
  16. I hold my HGV class 1 and my CPC card, my everyday job is a tree surgeon, therefore i can drive the truck to site, cut or climb all day and drive back with no CPC card as my job is a tree surgeon, if i was driving all day and not doing anything else i would be classed as a HGV driver and would require a CPC card. Hope this helps, John.
  17. Try replacing the beef with lamb, Welsh lamb if you can get your hands on it down there on the Somerset plains, if not West Country lamb will do, slow cook and serve with warm crusted rolls with lots of salted butter and plenty of cracked black pepper, enjoy Jon.
  18. Thanks WD, its good it comes with a sugihara, i just bought a 28 inch for my Stihl 056 and that was £110, thanks for the feedback.
  19. Thanks Geoff, i'm liking all the positive feedback about this saw, i'm going to try my local dealer for a demo soon, i'll let you know, thanks John.
  20. Thank you Arbogrunt, it's good to hear the positive's, thanks John.
  21. Thanks Geoff, a lot of lads are saying that, what is the build quality like on the 620 compared to a new stihl or husky, does it feel solidly built. thanks John.
  22. Thanks Joe, yeap there is something about a 357. cheers John
  23. Its that time shortly where i need to start replacing some of my older saws, i have been lucky enough to have a go on the husky 560 through a friend, a new 560 and it felt nice to cut with and the saw had very little use, In work i'm supplied with a stihl ms 261 which is a good saw but we have had a few which eat bearings, through my day job we've got some husky 346 xp and 357xp which just same brillant saws, i'm a little put off with a lot of problems people seem to be getting from buying new saws fitted with auto tune etc, i would like to find and buy a good second hand 346 & 357 which will hopefully serve me well, so my question to the gents on here is, how does the echo 620 rate to the husky 357, i know the 620 is slightly more cc, but when it comes down to sticking it into a trunk for felling etc does it perform as good as the non tune husky saws, basically will i love it or be disappointed with it, i don't know anyone with a 620, so i can't have a little play, many thanks john
  24. Yes a few had already dropped over onto the road over the last couple of weeks, lots of good ash, and oak for firewood.
