1. Your right. I failed to spot that detail. I mean in general, regardless of location and other details. Is there a correct or clear answer? I think have seen more compression and included faliures but maybe that's down to working mostly in peoples gardens where trees are more crowded.
 2. Hi people! I have to answer this question for my course work but it has me a bit stuck on research material so I wonder if any one can help. Thanks in advance! What is more dangerous a compression, included or tensile fork? I'm thinking included the most dangerous because of bad connection or bark acting like a crack then maybe compression but that's a guess.

 8. Hi people I have been a labour only sub contractor climber and groundie) now for over a year. I work for a few companies and have my own insurance. So far the only paper work that passes between me and the guys i work for is a invoice. All jobs I do are at a fixed price (verbal contract). So I am wondering if I should be covering my arse more with a written contract detailing responsabilities, pay etc. Also have a few generic dislaimers in my work bag i can get the boss or customer to sign if I feel uncomfortable doing something Ive been asked too do. eg stump grind in a area where there could be underground fibre optic cables. Does anyone do this? If anyone has any pointers, advice or links to reading material on this subject I and other 'subbys' would be very grateful. Thanks!
 9. Thanks! Witch's broom - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia now I know

Now I know this is quite common but theses were even more promonent than normal. So what are these or how are they formed? Thanks!

Hello.

I have just seen your ad on arbtalk looking for a lead climber which you placed two weeks ago and although I do not qualify for that postion yet I thought I would just send you a short message to see if you have any other positions avaliable now or in the future.

About me-

31 year old englash man. I only have a years expierence in the industry but am getting on well. I drive and have done my basic qualifications. I have been doing quite a lot of climbing and can work confidently on many small and medium trees but I still have a long way to go before I can do everything well. However I am very keen to improve. At present I am self-employed and have regular work with some established local companys (mostly domestic). I will need to move house some point in the next four months so am looking for something, challenging and exciting to do next.

Thanks,

 13. The guy I work for has a log cabin shell he could sell or he can reccomend someone who runs courses on making them. Check out his website below- thetreesurgery.com/cabin/sale.html
 14. I did 500 in 6 hours a few years ago when I was a (rock) climbing bum. I was given the idea by a strong climber I met who used to do a 1000 in a day. It was good and had made me stronger. Apart for about a week my arms would not straighten probly. ps. Use gym rings or boge something up to be kind to your joints
