  1. What re map did you get and how much and where from?? I had a tune it box on and also a rimmer bros box and I was t impressed, made the injectors rattle and kept burning out the air mass meter.
  2. I trained as a car mechanic 25 years ago so I'm pretty handy with my machines, sometimes its more cost and time effective to get someone in.
  3. You need maximum airflow, keep the wood off the floor by stacking on pallets and allow maximum airflow around the sides.
  4. Yes John I have a 130 crew cab with ripping chip body and I love it. I can get 4 cube int back.
  5. I was thinking of doing the same. I have bought a crate of 2m3 stacked and will be putting it into builders dumpy bags so I can be 100% sure what it splits down to.
  6. I wouldn't know sorry.

Do it, you will feel like your in ice road truckers!!
  8. Fuel wood are the importers and main dealers in this country. When I had a jappa they were very helpfull and good to deal with.
  9. I mean a dumpy bag of sand??
  10. Is that the same size as a sand bag?
  11. On 3-4 days in the eyes of the tax lot he should be employed, that's what I've been going through. My lad is the same, I asked for his UTR and he asked what's that? I reckon a lot of us are in the same boat regarding self employed workers:)
  12. Agreed. When its dry it burns great on a wood burner, I do wish people would wake up to the fact there is nothing wrong with softwood!!
  13. Err, I'm not sure Dave, he may be on a guaranteed 16 hour contract but will be able to give him 5 days. I'm still trying to work it all out to what's fair to us both:)
  14. I know mate, I was meant to take my 10x5 ifor with logs 18" sides to a guy but the acess was crap so I took them in the back of my landy which has chip body, I have measured it and it holds exactly the same, I even wrote the calcs down! I got there and he was moaning so I showed him the measurements and he still wouldn't believe me!! You just can't go wrong with a dumpy bag in my opinion.
  15. I'm screwed then:) Ha,Ha. Cheers for the advice much appreciated.

Double Thumbs up to mates or pretend I'm in an American truck with a cord pull air horn at the side window while pressing the real horn!! Nerrrrrr, nerrrrrrrr!!
  17. I have a shed??
  18. That's why I sell by the bulk bag now, when they call I explain it a bulk bag, I never call it a tonne bag as it does not hold a tonne of logs. Most people know what a bulk bag is like. I use old sand bags from builders merchants, 80x80.
  19. Welcome and enjoy:)
  20. Saws/tools/hedge cutters,fuel,transport,grip gloves,bacon bap.
  21. I wouldn't pay a climber that. I use a co tract climber when I need a climber as we do forestry work as well so don't need a climber everyday. If my groundy climbed then I would pay him more. I'm paying him to be a groundy on the cards with the benifit of being employed. At the moment he is self employed and on £80, I provide everything except ppe.
  22. I as thinking the around that figure but I thought I would give him a wee bit more as he is a good lad, he has been helping me for the last 3 years.
  23. He is a decent lad so I was thinking 8.75 an hour which is 70 a day, holiday pay, ppe. It ain't that bad is it?
  24. It's 3 years for equipment I believe:)
