it could be the start of white finger, i suffer a lot with pins and needles over the past few years and do have white finger in index finger and the next one when i get really cold but it could also be carpel tunnel as well or damaged tendons in the wrist, all three can cause alot of pain and pins and needles in your hands. had to take 2 months of work + about another year to recover fully after having simular problems that didnt go away, took doctors months to work out i had damaged the tendons either side of my wrist from building raised beds in solid oak

they are a little hard to digest, do like them fried up though with a little sage added to the garlic and butter
