  1. Not sure if I should put this here but it is attached to my tractor got it last Friday, very happy, just need to save up for a pto pump next.

  4. It's a tiny site, I can access all the trees from the track easily enough, I only do small scale and I am fully aware of the need to have easy access.
  5. Swept as in bent at the butt.
  6. Most of them are so swept its pointless taking the buttresses off.
  7. Nice larch in amongst all the horrible swept and ivy covered ones!
  8. That's the plan mate, only haulage costs are fuel in the isuzu.
  9. It's a 360 John, about 2.6 ton and 60hp... Little bit smaller than the stuff above

  13. Yea mate it pulls well, not had anything it can't yet! My mate has the 85 and you can tell the difference but its a lot nicer pulling that little cable out instead

  15. Arrived to this lot one day having taken it all down for him, he wanted to keep all the branches etc for firewood.

  17. Did mine at Lynher training near Tavistock. Good course.
  18. Started out doing arb and woodland management before meeting some old school foresters, made me realise how terrible my cuts were. One year on working with them and I am involved in far more forestry and enjoy it far more. My cuts are better and I'm much quicker...the old boy still shows me up every day though. 😄

  20. Thank you very much Paul, I will remove them both, I don't think they will mind too much as the top branch is on the neighbours side. In future on a more mature tree ill look to leave in what I can if this situation re occurs.
  21. Thank you Paul, hard lesson learnt, I haven't charged them for the work yet so I might explain the situation and leave it at that.
