  2. Very nice Mate , these are giving me a good idea as to what I should be doing , so thank you all
  3. I like it mate , deffinatly going to go simple , the picture was great help , many thanks
  4. Yeah the vosa thing is true what you say , dad seems to get pulled the odd few times , waste carriers , over weight ( not him altho he is lol ) and checking if we have stolen tools etc
  5. not good news , feel for you mate
  6. Ahhh I see mate sounds all a bit technical to me , il look it up tho
  7. Kind of agree with you both , a sleeper boarder would look smart if u sunk them in the ground a bit but very costly to do
  8. Very good mate , will look even better once the grass pops up
  9. For anyone suffering from glasses / visors misting up , a light coat of washing up liquid works , it's a cheap solution to the problem and is easily stored in the van , also useful to was the cups after a mug of tea of coffee
  10. Basically just a light scattering over some Terram ( think thts how u spell it ) as a decorative area for the customer to place pots on , they are really pleased with it and so am I but if this is a problem Id go and correct it
  11. Used fresh chip on a customers garden last week looks nice , however I left the green bits (conifer) in with them so couple of questions : 1 = has anyone else done this ? 2 = is it better to stock it up and let it mulch a bit 3= if left to mulch , how long for ? Danny Cane
  12. What's one of these mate or am I being a bit thick?
  13. Thats one of the points that's bugging me , I've spent all my earnings on what I have now and to loose them would probably mean game over for me , but on the other hand having it sign written does draw in customers , it's a tough choice
  14. Hi TBG , seen a few around my way with scrolled lettering , chrome finished letters and lary looking back grounds , they all look good but from a distance you just can't read them , intact I can't even remember what even one of them was advertising
  15. My van currently has my web address on , only a small sticker on the bonnet and rear doors , phone number stickers sat in the office as I can't see much point putting it on yet as the sign writers booked for two weeks time , jst need to send him my final design and he will do it free of charge if I put his name on my race car this season big bonus !
  16. I know what you mean about a pain in the backside to remove had to do this when I first purchased the van , the idea of a bolt on sign won't work with mine tho , as its a panel van , however that is a useful idea for my trailer as the cable ties holding on the plastic sign works but doesn't look very professional
  17. Cheers for the help guys , will upload a few ideas soon as come up with a couple , my lawn signs seem to be doing well at getting me work when put out on site and they are only about 2ft by 1ft , so the idea of spending the money to get the van done seems like the best thing to do rather than place ads in the local paper Being a transit un sign written also gives the impression I am a you know what , so a few of my customers have told me ...
  18. Cheers Stubby I'm throwing a few things around on paint and am trying to come up with a few ideas and having a look in the arbtruck section is also helping , will upload a few ideas soon ....
  19. As I have only just started out I'm new to all this so just a few questions on van sign writing : 1= what should I include in the writing ? 2 = Go for an eye catching picture or just a simple yet effective logo? 3= Advertise that I am on forums such as this ? 4 = Is it appropriate to add who I sponsor : ie the local fire show , and a friend who races ? Many thanks Danny Cane
  20. As yourself I have not got a great deal of money as just started up by myself , I have seen videos of these machines and for light work that I have been carrying out lately these look like a good buy . I wonder if their is anyway to see a demo ? Or if any local hire firms have these for the average home owner to hire .
