  1. You get the cinch and BL all set up with the unit and supply your own biner/snap.
  2. Yep, but not all at once. That's the hardware I use most of all, just stopping it rattl'n round in the bag mate. Regards, Tony
  3. Just got around to setting mine up. Had a play and can I like the concept and operation so far. I'll get some pics working tomorrow. Sorry about the pic qual, I haven't got the camera handy so there of my old phone. Cheers, Tony
  4. Hey man, if you leave the biner attached permently to the tether then a keeper formed from a rubber oring will do exactly the same, its onlt a PITA if you want to thread the biner through the tether all the time. I'll snap a pic of mine later today. Regards Tony
  5. From the context of the sentance I gather bomb proof, indestructable. It could also be what groundies dodge after a vindaloo curry for lunch??
  6. I'm not much good at that stuff OMTC, I'd suggest its something real simple that needs turning on or off. PS when you get it sorted it look good though. Cheers, Tony
  7. G'day L&T, nah, you supply your own termination attachment and tie a fishermans. I guessing because that's as an individual choice as the rest of your kit. I just ordered a ISC triple lock straight snap, the actions not disimilar to my other lanyards. Hey there Grais, understand you have your style, thats cool. I just received one, I'll let you know how it performs and holds up mate. I'm as prone to assumptions as I am to endorsing rubbish (not) . First impression from the groung is that its smaller than I thought, that plastic box (exterior) is tough and well braced through its moulding process. Not happy with the attachment so I'll look into what avenues we have. I have a couple of days in trees this week, removals so it'll be used for positioning and a B/U to my wire core. It may not be for every job but it could be a good thing for most jobs. Regards, Tony
  8. Using the brake prolongs life. Mines in semi retirement due to a SRTWP, And i'm happy for it. Cheers, Tony
  9. Hey man, the MF's I make up from time to time vary on who's using them and their style. Mines really long and I have longer arms so mine would have the hardware mounted in a difference place to most. I usually tie and demo a dummy MF from a length of prusik cord or alike, once we are satisfied transpose the R&D onto whatevr your using ie Tenex, Yalex etc. Saying that, the latest one I made is adjustable whoopie style so i can use it optimumly with my RW & HH systems. Cheers, Tony
  10. Its those little quirks that also make it interesting Stubby. I'm sure we all have sat at the keyboard "profiling" those we have never met trying to figure them out and where their coming from. Good amount of diverse info and opinion is great. Regards, Tony
  11. Hey guys, I looked around for a while to see who was who in the zoo and what the culture was like. Joined introduced myself. Excellent forum that suffers little from unhealthy competitiveness's that plague other sites. I'd encourage anyone on the bank to dip at toe (join) and say hello. Cheers, Tony
  12. Hey man, standard kit round here. Our dryer spring/summer climate not only yields good growth of improved and native pasture but curing from 50% to 100% is a matter of a couple of weeks in some regions. Fast moving grass fires are a regular occurrence in a dry summer/autumn and we are obligated to carry equipment to potentially mitigate any accidental ignition from equipment such as mowers, slashers and mulchers. The Johny is fitted with a portable 10 lt knapsack as a first attack measure. The baler is a different kettle of fish, its fitted with a portable 9lt pressurized extinguisher for tackling bearing failures that ignite the rubber belts, dust and grass swarf littered throughout the baler, again a common occurrence throughout our harvest season. Generic pic for impact
  13. Your missus maybe having an affair with a stihl rep.... Regards Tony
  14. Thanks Jon.
  15. It would be interesting to what a risk assessment would look like from someone with his outlook.
  16. We'll see, $350 Aus. If I can get 24 months out them then every day after is pure profit. Truth is you usually pay for what you get, these come with a reputation that is unusual, I have not spoken to anyone that had a pair and those that have a pair swear by them. I guess time will tell. Cheers, Tony
  17. The one handed thing got me... His other stuff is brilliant as well, confidence and talent. Cheers, Tony
  18. Just got a pair of Pfanner Gladiator Ventilation, most comfy pants I have ever climb in or worn, you can zip open or closed the vents, open cuffs at the bottom promote air circulation from me. Regards Tony
  19. I've just joined up, some great shots fella's . My tags "woodepecker", I'll upload a few shortly. Cheers, Tony
  20. Spot on, go minimalist and reduce sit back as much as possible. Regards, Tony
  21. No probs man, nice place WA, been to long since I was there. Cheers, Tony
  22. Just reading through this thread and what strikes me is the obvious lack of communication from Stihl. There seems to be a lot of conjecture amongst you chaps in Europe (UK) as to what is exactly going on, when, how and why. This is just as damaging for Stihl's reputation as what an unpopular business decision is. For any change that potentially inconveniences the customer through choice, cost or time needs a very good awareness and marketing campaign so as to retain some customer buy in through engagement. I have herd nothing in Aus but by all accounts that means little judging by the poor way Stihl has gone about publicising the changes. Good luck, maybe the only thing that could reverse any decision is if profit margins are affected to such a degree that financiers become vocal. Cheers, Tony
  23. mmmm, the attraction to shine anodized alloy is hard to resist... Most of my gear is warranted (well sort of as I'm part time), I have a few bits that get used rarely (spiderjack as I'm SRTing) and a HH that I'm yet to sort out. Hey Luke, do you work for ATTTS by any chance? Cheers, Tony
  24. I ripped for you man, truly I know the hurt in your heart. I honestly believe they go to a great place and he'll remember you with as much love as you remember him. RIP, mans bests friend. sincerely, Tony
