  1. Our pasquali is front steer but completely pivots in the middle. Where the line is in photo. Ours work really hard on site clearance have never had an issue using a loader on a alpine. We lift and carry big lumps all the time.
  2. Bump this back up again. Looking for a groundsman/general operative/third man. Initially night work (paid at time and half). On going work, general tree surgery ground duties, site clearance, stump grinding, general country side contracting and highways work, milling and machine maintenance. (Mostly commercial work but no power lines or railways). Someone really reliable, friendly, good attitude, flexible and able to pass D and A test if necessary. Some tickets and experience would be ideal cross cutting, brush cutter, chipper, cscs etc. Will consider more or less tickets for the right person. Consider self employed or paye. We will look after you, appreciate you and pay you well! Please call 07909 524526 for more details thanks
  3. Is it just wood chips? We found a free tip for chip right in totnes, I'll see if we still have details
  4. Great stuff thanks all.
  5. Can anyone confirm what sort of hitch we have on our unimog please? The pin seems narrower than a tractor pick up hitch but I could be wrong? Been suggested rockringer but I'm not sure what this is and googling it is not clear. Many thanks
  6. Thanks very much, sounds ok, don't mind hard work, shouldn't be to often as others grinders can do most of the work. Can you tell me how much they cost? And how much the teeth are? I'm aware they are powered by a big saw, which we already have. Can we just bolt the saw onto it when we need the grinder, so we have use of the saw for normal work? Or does it not work like that and the saw has to be dedicated grinding saw? Many thanks
  7. Bumperty bump
  8. Can anyone give me any feed back or info on the above machine? Reliability, speed, running costs etc Or suitable alternative. We have a big site grinder and a pedestrian grinder. The only stumps we can't do is the real bad access ones. Just lost what I consider a really good enquiry due to access. Also we are in Devon, if anyone has a suitable machine and would be interested in doing the bad access stumps for us please get in touch. Many thanks
  9. Thank you Peter, I've been in touch with them. :-)
  10. Yes please can I have details, thank u
  11. Thank u casto, really tidy looking machine. Unfortunately I don't think side load would work for us. Pretty much set on a tp200, just a bit of a wait on a new one and no used ones around right now..
  12. Thanks casto, is it completely side feed? 90 degrees to the tractor? Could I please have details :-)
  13. Hi all, bit of a long shot, we are looking for a pto chipper. Something like a tp200, Jensen, schlesing. Needs to be at least 8 inch capacity but less than a ton in weight. Good condition and straight to work. Im in Devon but will travel for right machine. Many thanks
  14. That's good to know thank you, I thought they looked good
  15. Thank u, sounds good. Would be on sites with lots of space or highways with all the chip going in the hedge so access no issue. :-)
  16. Please can anyone offer advice on chipper performance? We currently have 8x10 inch chipper with 45hp engine. Basically we want to speed up and are looking for a pto machine. My question is if we get a 8x10 inch pto chipper on a 120hp tractor will it hugely out perform our 45hp chipper because of more hp or does it not work like that? Or do we need a even bigger pto machine to achieve better performance? Many thanks
  17. Thanks agrimog. I saw your advice to print the rules on a previous post and I have done so. I've high lighted the relevant bits to our use and as far as I'm aware will be on the right side of things. This will live in the mog if I find one.
  18. Thank you, I'm in Devon. As much as I'd love a newer one It seems it would be hugely expensive to add a pto and linkage. Also due to large amount of electronics I'd be much more dependant on merc main dealers for repairs and service. Unless anyone knows differant? Cheers
  19. From all the research we have done my understanding is you can use a tractor for tree surgery in a garden including driving to and from site because it comes under horticulture, what you can't do is haul anything away. But I could of missed something and got that wrong I'm sure!
  20. Thanks agrimog. Agreed the class of unimog has been well covered on here, I've read so many posts and also been through everything on GOV website about it. I don't wish to make another issue about it but could I ask your opinion of what I believe is right for us. I would intend to use the unimog agg registered and as a tractor. This would be for work on highways, road side trees, use of big chipper, all chip blown back into the site. Or use of winch for directional felling/winch trees to chipper. Rural site clearance, natural England funded, claiming back agricultural land. Or clearing woodland back to open ground. Blowing chip into the mog to move it around site but nothing removed from site. Winching. If we use the mog for domestic tree work it would be for the chipper or a splitter or crane (if we had one) or winch but not hauling anything away. Where I think we would technically not be correct to use the mog agg registered is a building site clearance or any road haulage at all. We have a alpine tractor, in the summer it's kept busy topping agricultural grass, do you think we would be correct to tow the alpine/topper to site on a trailer ? Many thanks
  21. Thanks for that, seems I'm looking for a agg spec square cab 1200 or 1250 - 1600 or 1650 :-)
  22. Ok thanks, that's interesting to know about the u90, I thought being sprinter engines and 120 ish hp it would be plenty for chipper but hadn't really considered it wasn't designed for pto work. I like the classic appeal of the u900 etc but realistically from what I have read I don't think they would suit our needs. I think the age could cause an issue on some sites too :-) Thanks
