  1. Thinking about it, I stand corrected Its the trailer bed that moves not the axel so you are actually moving the load forward or back

As for changing an ifor I'd have no idea, the fast tow has a single beam instead of a A-frame , best bit of kit I've bought

    Thanks

    Lovely bit of kit :)

I'm dreaming at the moment... But do you know what the nose weight is empty? Unladen weight? And what is the max crane lift?

  2. Looks a good set up same trailer as mine I reckon. Think I'll have to move my crane onto bed but will wait until I have power pack and work it out from there. If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for the trailer set up.?

    I'll Pm you

  3. Another question if you don't mind, would there be a simple way to put a scale on either the crane or the trailer so I knew how loaded I am? Thanks

Haha another thing I've thought the same! I'd say experience would be best the weighing things look expensive.

This log was a touch under 3foot, that's a 14 foot bed(12 foot after the crane) so 14 foot long log. I make that 1.5ton ish at 1000kg per m3. It's ash not sure how far off I am! Crane struggles with that, had to do one end the the other. That's a Honda 5.5 I think ImageUploadedByArbtalk1398895798.888538.jpg.1f5a1125a8cec0dd702092566d11541a.jpg

    Damn you're close. 275ish /1180.

I thought about some ballast. But prefer the idea of moving the weight back when empty, so slide the crane back but don't know how you'd attach it... Don't like the idea of having the engine/tank at the back, it's nice to have the length and overhang the rear.

  5. You could find with hiab on back and empty trailer it snakes like a pig at best it will lift and shake back of vehicle.

Put it on tracks stick it in middle when empty push and lock to front when loading and loaded.

    Like that idea :)

Recently bought this, anyone want to play guess the overall weight/nose weight? :)

  6. Just to show how capable this model is, today we carried out a successful demo with our fellow arbtalker Charles Hey. The demo was in Essex & one of the stumps was 4ft x 2ft which was taken out in under an hour, the grinder is very capable for a pedestrian machine. The grinder used was 18 months old but still as new showing the build quality we still produce with our Bandit machines.

Only just seen this! That was a big stump. I was well surprised how quick and easy it was, even on that big stump. It made me buy one...

I think it was bigger than 4x2 foot! My 36" bar only just went through from memory.

The other selling point was the yellow grinder I had a demo of had done 180hours? And it looked and performed like new.

  7. Hi dean, is there a spec sheet on the sidewinder length, width, height, weight etc?

    What's the lead time ATM?

    Presume it's self propelled?

    How deep can you grind?

    Thanks

Might be able to help some of those answers a bit but don't quote me!

Width 25" with outer wheels removed, 37" with them on. 385kg?

    Yes it's self propelled.

    Not sure, but deep enough!

  8. Hi

My feed rollers won't go forwards, they reverse fine. They do turn forwards for maybe 1/2 second after you press the stop bar, or the stop button.

Would say to me the switch works, but the relay or something electrical is faulty? Any ideas where to look?

    Thanks

    Charlie.
